Yo no shit bro, ain't The Bronx that famous place-in that other famous NY place that's in all the movies 'n' stuff aye,...so then you're therefore technically, in a sense, automatically a famous person...😄...yeah i'm being a cheeseball.

Ya know how it's still called New York (*apparently named after some British dukie faglet who stole it from the Dutch),... isn't it odd that after the American revolution,...the Brits name wasn't changed to something more American, like,... maybe, i dunno,...🤔 fuckin,...New Lincoln, or something.

Trippy thing is that NY was originally New Netherland (*also encompassing New Amsterdam)—fuck those Dutchmen got around aye man, coz they're whom New Zealand got it's name from.(*ie; Nieuw Zeeland)

Not going to state exactly where I am from just for safety purposes but the place I was born is the place I still live now and if I had the chance, I would 100% want to leave. It never used to be as bad as it is now but it seems like many could now care less about the town we are in or what happens to it and any plans they have to bring things to the town either never happen or happen and end up being a flop.

I'm from Christchurch New Zealand. Have not been back since the earthquakes but my memories of it are all good! I don't think I'd like to live there now as it is so bloody cold in the Winter compared to Auckland! BRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Yep same reason I left ny. I grew up in week long black outs because of the ice. Now here in the mountains, every time someone finds out I'm from the rotten apple, they ask me, aren't you scared?
And my reply is this every time-
Shit I learned how to drive in buffalo winters in a 85 lynx hatchback. 😂

We seem to get many at the moment but a lot of them end up in bigger cities in seems rather than where I live even though we do still get a few.
It's pretty harsh seeing a town you grew up in just being left to rot in a sense because many don't seem to care about the upkeep of it. I never thought I would say that I am ashamed of where I live as it used to be a lovely place.

We, in New Zealand, are so lucky that we are very isolated by massive stretches of water that mean we have not been inundated with 'refugees'.
Have 'refugees' caused many problems in regards to crime where you are?

They do tend to cause some trouble but not the majority of the trouble it would seem. It tends to be those who are not refugees and who are born and raised citizens here who tend to cause the most trouble. Unfortunately, a lot of the get a slap on the wrist and are told to not do it again which isn't a very harsh punishment so they end up doing it again.
